Treatment Done

Gum Plastic Surgery: Gingival Grafting, Crown lengthening( Gum Lift) - Fiber Glass Posts, Zirconia Crowns and Bridges.

This patient had old crowns made from porcelain fused to metal. Nowadays, we rarely use this type of crowns in the esthetic zone. The patient main complaint was an irregular contour of the gum line, with red to blue gum color. Also he was complaining about the the bleeding of his gum when eating or brushing...

After the clinical examination and x-rays, the treatment plan was as following:
Remove the crowns, make temporaries, treat the gum, make a gum lifting for correction of the gum levels vertically, make a gum grafting to correct the horizontal dimension and volume of the gum, than make a redo of all root canal treatments to ensure that we have no more roots with potential informatory problems, than make the fiber glass post to reinforce the remaining roots of the teeth and finally place the Zirconia crowns and bridges. A Zirconia crown has many advantages over standard crown. In fact, a Zirconia crown is the strongest non-metallic crown and the most resistant to fracture. Also Zirconia, is one of the most bio compatible material, which means that the bone and the gum accept this material without any rejection and inflammatory response.
